2021 WEDDING TRENDS

Wowww 2020 has been a tough ride so far, especially when it comes to weddings. It has been emotional watching my brides have to move or cancel their weddings due to C19, but looking ahead to 2021, things are looking up! From micro weddings to DIY decor, your wedding will be amazing no matter what the guidelines state!

1. Micro- Weddings

So small or micro weddings may be the thing of the future with couples reaching for a more intimate affair. The current guidelines due to Covid-19 states that we can only have 50 people including venue staff. This is super affordable & relaxed. You can enjoy your time with your guests & look at doing a big party down the line! Two weddings, how bad! 😉

2. DIY

This was a big trend for 2019/2020 and not going anywhere soon. If you had to postpone your wedding, you will have more time to plan and do things they you may have not thought of for first time around. Some popular DIY things for weddings are:

~ table plans- unique & personal

~ centrepieces- simple & creative

~ foliage & garlands- add a pop to your venue

~ name tags for your napkins

3. Songs

We can guarantee that the most popular first dance song with be ‘Etta James- At Last’  for the postponed couples.

Stay true to you and your partner when deciding on your music and first dance. This is what makes your wedding different to everyone else’s. We all love Ed Sheeran but don’t pick it because it’s safe.

4. Wedding Favours

I always said don’t bother with favours, waste of money but now with weddings smaller in numbers, why not!! But remember they must comply with the Covid guidelines.

The most popular Covid friendly favours are:

~ mini personalised hand sanitizers

~ glamour face masks

~ mini pack of happy tears tissues

5. Personalisation

I am a sucker for personalisation!

A great way would be to incorporate your old and new wedding date if your a Covid postponed wedding.

With everything now to be individually packed, like sweet tables etc. Personalised bags.

A lovely idea is to have a small patch of material with your date sewed into the underneath layer of your wedding dress.

Rings- your wedding bands are usually engraved with your date. I have my now husband’s signature engraved on the inside of mine.

With things changing daily due to Covid-19, we want to see weddings still taken place and see happy couples have their day.

Embrace the guidelines and no matter what size number you have, you will have an amazing day.
